• 9 yards of Dale Baby Ull knit into Baby Moc-a-Soc on January 30th
• Total of 399 yards knit as of January 30th

My Weekly Total

• 399 – 0 = +399!!!

My YTD Total

• 1451 – 3761 = -2310

Slowly but surely I am chipping away at that YTD number. Now, back to knitting up more of that yarn I have stashed!

Playing along with Delusional this year.

Stitch Markers FO #3

No knitting finishes, everything is too big to be close to finishing. But I did make some stitch markers to share and keep. I am receiving some yarn scraps from a knitter to determine which color of the Berkshire Bulky I want to order. I am hoping the colors are the same all across the weights of yarn. In return for her kindness I am sending some stitch markers. And to make getting out my beading stuff productive I went ahead and made 4 sets. The green ones are going to her, I get the orange and gold ones.

 

Hopefully next week I will have a shawl finished for my January shawl entry.

WIP Wednesday #3

Progress is being made on all the current WIPs.

First up: Mocha

I have made some changes, not working to the best, but I will live with it.

I am actually enjoying the Plum cardigan, even with all the twists and turns, increases and decreases. Mocha is decreasing so it’s getting better. Ashton is going quick, but that will fade as the rows get larger. But I still want to cast on something new!! I need something mindless like a hat in the round. Something that doesn’t involve thinking and counting! Maybe I need to check the queue and see if anything fits that bill. That way I can cover all the times I want to knit, no matter what my level of concentration.

Please keep some dear people in your prayers. A friend lost her Mom last week, so she is dealing with the pain of her loss. Another friend just had surgery on her thyroid, not sure of all the ins and outs of it, but she came through well. And last, my cousin’s daughter dislocated her shoulder at our cheer/dance exhibition last night. The first stunt of the routine and it went. She knew it right away. Thing is, this is the 3rd or 4th time(?), only it’s always been the other shoulder that separates. Now it looks like she will be having issues with both shoulders.

All the middle school cheer and dance teams did a great job. So much fun to watch their enthusiasm. But nerve-wracking when they do all the stunts and tumbling. Thankfully no one else was hurt.

Doing better, but still need to cut out the buying!

• 1 skein of Berroco Vintage, 217 yards, purchased from WEBs
• A total of 1 skein at 217 yds

This purchase is to make sure I can knit a Pembroke Vest in an 18 month size. I didn’t buy enough when I went to Atkinson. Now, I hope the dye lots match. I know I should have gone back to Cheryl’s, or had Hubster pick it up since he works close by. But I needed cables for my Knitter’s Pride Interchangeable Needles, so this was the best option. If it’s an issue I will do alternating skeins as I knit.

Much better on this end:

• 86 yds of Cascade 220 Superwash knit into a headband for my nicee, Jan 17th.
• 457 yds of Classic Wool knit into Plum as of Jan 24th
• 22 yds of Cascade Heritage Paint knit into Mattson as of Jan 24th
• 300 yds of Yarn Daze knit into Mocha as of Jan 24th
• Total of 1052  yds knit as of Jan 24th

So My Weekly totals are

• 326 yds – 217 yds = +109

My YTD totals are

• 1052 yds – 3761 yds = -2709

At least I did a little better on the weekly side of it. Considering I pretty much started January in the hole, it will take a while to come out of it.
