Felted Friday FO

Here I go again, trying to making some fun with the title. I suck, I know.

But I am keeping that streak alive. 25 weeks strong, and hopefully continuing on next week.

Today’s entry is a pair of felted clogs I made for the school counselor. I hope she likes them. I tried to match some schoolish colors, but not sure if I really succeeded. Not enough gold in there.

These are a ladies medium and right now are slightly larger than an Ladies 8. I didn’t want to go too far in the felting, so left a bit bigger in case she needs the room. She can always felt them smaller. But I know from experience, I can’t felt mine larger. The left foot of my current pair are slightly too small.

This shot shows the difference in size. The pencil in this shot is the same size as the pen in the previous shot. See how much they have shrunk. The wonders of felting. Interesting how the blue on the toe is lost once they felted. I didn’t get the colors matched perfectly, but that’s OK, the stripes are still there. Now to get on with the pair for myself. I know, I have a pair, but there aren’t Noro striped!

Bonus FO, not felted. This is another ribbed watchcap in Liberty Wool. This is for my cousin. Hopefully there is still a chance to wear it before winter is gone. I will drop this off at his house tomorrow just in case. We have temps in the 30′s over the next few days. Thank you to my model, iNDy, the big bro. I am almost embarrassed to post the pup’s latest photo. He’s not too shy!

I can’t believe that position is comfortable. See what I mean? Even though he is “manless”, he still acts like a guy! His intent was to get a belly rub from the black sock footed big sister. I think he succeeded.
