Sunday Stash Report/52 Hats Challenge

Knitting Stats
Last Week: 61,004 yards/328 skeins
Knitted: 306 yards/3 skeins
Purchased: 0 yards/0 skeins
Ending Stash: 60,698 yards/325 skeins

I am definitely under 61,000 yards, finally!

Yarn In: None again this week. Yippee!

Yarn Out: Baby Hat and Fuzzy Feet for the BIL.

I may have shot myself in the foot on the Fuzzy Feet. I doubled the yarn and after 4 washings they still have not shrunk enough! I will put them through one more round and see what happens. And I picked back up my Cameo Flowers shawl, but the scale and my records are not showing I have knit enough to move the needle. Oh well, I am so close to the finish. Actually I am 13 rows from the finish. 13 LONG rows!

Sewing This Week
Fabric In: +1.25 yards
Fabric Out: -.375 yards
Net Fabric In/Out: +.875 yards
Fabric YTD: +17.09 yards

Fabric In: 4 Fat Quarters. 1 because it was green, the striped one because I thought it would do as a binding for my Rhubarb Crisp (it won’t), the 2 brown because it will work for Rhubarb Crisp binding AND backing! The blue is a remnant to make a pouch for a birthday girl.

Fabric Out: Soup Bowl Cozy, backing and binding for Rhubarb Crisp.

But the totals don’t show that I have trimmed tops, and cut/attached the bindings, for a wallhanging and a table topper. The fabric was already counted when I prepped the projects. So 2 finishes are going to happen real soon!

  1. You’re doing great! I love the hat! Are you using hot water for the felting? I know when I felted a hat that used two strands of Cascade 220 it took forever and I used hot water. I hope they shrink! You know if it was sweater you’d knit and it was accidentally washed it would fit Barbie after one trip through the machine:(

  2. I love the fact you do stats!!!!! I don’t know that I could catalog mine-not that it is so large because both my yarn and my fabric is manageable but still, it sounds intimidating!
I totally get the ‘I bought it cuz it’s green’ thing-me, too! lol
    Nice projects !

    1. Thanks! It does help me curb the buying, more so on the yarn side than fabric right now. But eventually the fabric will be at capacity and I will have to dlow down the buying or speed ip the sewing.
