Yup, failed on this task this week. Due to 7 hours of travel on Friday, where I was driving, I lost some crafting hours. Plus I have grand-dog this weekend, so he takes up a lot of time!

Fun things from the weekend:

Hubster was telling Jeep Girl how I did not like cut flowers when were dating. He said the only thing I liked were African Viruses. HAHAHAHA!!!!! He meant Irises. It’s true, I would prefer something that isn’t going to die.

I delivered the cases on Friday. The last delivery was to my cousin’s wife and daughter. The daughter is a sci-fi fan. I handed her 4 cases, told her to pick her fav. Of course she picked the Star Wars fabric. We knew she would.

After 2 rounds of med school rejections, Jeep Girl has finally found a new direction for her life. It involves getting a master’s in Bio-Med Eng. Her undergrad profs all were pushing her to forgo med school and go into research, SHE finally realized it is what she needs to do. They saw the talent she has for research and felt it was the best use of her skills. Fingers crossed she has a decision soon. We are just relieved that she will be able to focus her sights on a goal, she has been adrift lately, suffering from doubt and confusion. So hard to see them go through issues we can’t control. But now the sky’s the limit!

    1. Thank you. She is reclaiming her excitement. I did ask if she would just prefer to be a perpetual student, to which she groaned!

  1. A friend made me one of the bowl cozies and I love it. I use it all the time. Your daughter will find her way eventually. I think we all drift at different points in our lives and it’s something we just have to work through.

    1. I love my cozies! Yes, we all seem to go through stages. But it’s good to see her spirit return. Thanks

  2. The piebird blocks look really interesting – I had to enlarge it and look at it up close! Looks like lots of work goes into each one! Congratulations to your daughter, too – it’s always a good feeling to see our kids find their path.

    1. It is a pretty pattern. I just had to make it harder on myself by altering the construction! LOL

  3. You made beautiful pieces kniting or quilting, and the pie bird block is so pretty.
