We arrived home from our camping trip on Monday afternoon, exhausted. We stopped briefly at my parents, to shower!! and gift my mom a birthday present/card, as we drove north. Once home we got stuff put away, laundry started, and then just collapsed! The weekend was too funny, actually one of the best in terms of laughter, but mostly it was about our situation. IT WAS SO FREAKING HOT!!! Our 2018 Camp word is now, Oscillate. Cause we all had fans on full blast sitting outside in the shade!!! We are used to gentle Fall temps, but the state park’s were full on the dates we wanted so we tried a Labor Day weekend. Never again! We have decided 3rd weekend of October from here on out.
Since home I have had no desire to craft. I have plans I want to put into play, but no desire to get them under the needles. I finally picked up an in progress afghan square on Friday, just because I had over 200 blog posts to catch up on! Sad to say I skimmed tons of them, but I have caught up on all your recent FOs, starts, and life. When I said I wasn’t into crafting, it also meant I avoided my sewing/knitting/computer room completely.
Hopefully today I am cutting some fabric and starting a new project. I guess maybe it’s been a let down from the two I recently finished. That point where you are paralyzed about starting a new project because of various reasons. I need to start having more than 1 on the go so I have something to fall back on when the other ends. So maybe I will start 2! Here are the ones in contention:
- Mini Dashing using these fabrics plus a lime green (that I can’t remember where or when I got! LOL)
- Titch the small one with gold sashing. I will use the teal and taupe fabrics I have been collecting. May throw in a black for accent.
- Fall Leaves definitely needs to get going so I can display it during September. No fabric pull yet, but I have tons of fall fabrics to choose from. Planning to make a leaf in red, gold, plum, green and orange.
- Anthem but I am missing the navy fabric I need.
So, not a lot to share this week, tomorrow’s Stash Report will be dismal, but then again, nothing purchased, nothing gained?

Glad you had a laughter filled break! Welcome home.
Thanks! > >
Camping in the heat and humidity of Labor Day weekend? I’m so glad you all laughed all weekend. I’m surprised you didn’t decide on January after that:)
You’ll get your will to craft back once your core temperature returns to normal:)
OMG!! My core has returned to normal. LOL!!! Now I just need to find my oomph! I have been extremely lazy this week! Maybe it’s my vacation from life? > >
It’s nice to get away sometimes 🙂 Glad it was a good vacation, even if too hot!
We did have a great time!! Now to get my butt in gear and get back to work!
>
Sometimes you just need a break! nothing wrong with that!
So true! But now it’s back to the fun!
>
Now that you are recovered, this will be a great week to accomplish all things creative!
Yes it will. I just need to curb the tendency to goof off!! LOL > >
Hi Chris! I’m sorry it was so hot for your camping trip. I had to giggle at the thought of using fans while sitting outside in the shade. That’s pretty darn hot. I think we all through ebbs and falls of our crafting desire. Just go with the flow – you’ll be back in the full swing of things in no time. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
Thanks! It WAS a hot one!

Sorry it was such a hot week for camping. But it’s those trips that go so wrong that you remember.
Yes it is. I saw a few of the campers last night and we joked about needing our fans, while the temps were in the low 70’s!! LOL > >
What’s that saying…laughter is the best medicine…glad you had a good dose of it this weekend 🙂 Be careful, with the more than one project…it’s a slippery slope to UFO-ville. Here’s to a productive week and may the fabric be flying at your place as I type 🙂
😂😂😂 it is true! Best medicine!
