Patriotic Duty is my Good Fortune

Another week’s clue is done and now I am impatiently waiting for tomorrow. Week 2 was HSTs and I chose to use my navy fabrics to make them. I haven’t really assigned my colors to Bonnie’s paint chips, but the blue and red are following her choices. For the brown and golds I am waiting to see the next color used.

Progress after 2 weeks:

Again, I am only do about 1/4 of the total pieces from this mystery. Who knows if my numbers will work for a much smaller version, but I will make up or leave out what I need when the mystery’s layout is revealed. Since I am working from stash I don’t want to buy more to complete this mystery. It will be what it will be. For me it’s just the fun of playing along! I can always go back and make more if I really love the design, right?

Or I could just be a skin flint who isn’t going to spend any money on this project. But then we all know I have no problem buying more fabric!!! LOL > >

Looks great so far! I’ll be interested to see where you go with your colours as the quilt develops.
