This week will be short as we are headed out of town on Friday and won’t be back until Tuesday late. So all my sewing has to happen before we leave. Then knitting can be my travel companion. I am also planning to take the baby quilt I need to finish hand quilting. If I just knuckle down I can get it done before the end of the year?
For To-Do Tuesday I plan to focus on #1 of my weekly list.
- Cast on Post Wedding Shawl
- Finish Holiday Hats
- Pack for travel
- Catch up on Clue 4
- Start Quilting on Tru-Bluish
Wedding shawl? Didn’t I just finish the wedding shawl? Yes, yes I did! But this one is for the nephew’s wife who joined our family in March. The one I totally whiffed because it was my nephew who got married. So I wasn’t thinking niece=wedding shawl. But she IS my niece, so she gets a “wedding” shawl. I told her she would have to put her dress on and take pics with her shawl after it’s done. LOL! She choose the pattern, Miss Dashwood, first and then her SIL picked the same pattern. Em’s will be a soft cream color. I am not sure about doing the same pattern back to back, but at least I am familiar with it at this point!
I also need to determine if I am fixing the latest Fox mistake. My friend Jenny was thrilled to get the winking Fox, but I am not sure if someone wants a nose-less Fox. What say you? I guess I could say the Fox cut off its nose to spite its face?

To-Do Tuesday
Can you duplicate stitch the nose? The hats are so cute!
Yes, that’s how I added all the black in the first place. But you know us knitters, we hate weaving in ends!! I did all the duplicate with one VERY long strand, and missed that one nose!!! LOL > >
Hi Chris! Can’t you just take some embroidery floss and give the fox a nose? Seriously, I would not rip it apart for that one stitch. It’s definitely a conscious design decision. You are setting a new trend! Have fun and be safe in your travels. Happy Tuesday. ~smile~ Roseanne
All the black accents are duplicate stitched, so it’s not hard, it’s just having to do it for 1 stitch! Which means weaving in two ends for 1 stitch!!! LOL Thank you. >
Darling–DUPLICATE STITCH to the rescue! It will be indiscernible to anyone else!
I will break down and add it, I just don’t want to! LOL

Good luck with your to do list. This time of year it’s hard to get to the stitching stuff for all the other stuff on the to do list.
You’ve got that right. I thought last night would see a bit of sewing, but after I had 3 extras for dinner, girls and 1 beau, I was too tired for anything beyond sitting and watching Netflix. Thanks > >
LOL, I love the fox! I would say don’t fix it. It is unique, not like anyone else’s!
I will fix it, but only because it bugs me. I am sure my Great Niece wouldn’t even notice it. LOL > >
Wow – that is a lot to do! Now that you have done the first wedding shawl, a second will be easier. Plus, you knit that first one is like a day. So this one should be even quicker! 😉
Definitely not a Day!! LOL As long as I get it done by Monday morning I can block it in time for gifting on Christmas Day. Fingers crossed!! > >
You can definitely do it!
That’s a very cute hat! I’d say either leave it as is or sew a big black pompom on as a nose–make that one fox stand out!
LOL That would definitely stand out. Will just bite the bullet and continue with the duplicate stitch for that one nose. > >
