2019 Sewing/Quilting Challenge

In 2019 I have some goals I would like to accomplish. These are items I have fabric for and desire to make them, I just need focus! Hopefully this Challenge to myself will yield some FOs each month. If nothing else, it will produce some flimsies I can then quilt in 2020?

I have not numbered these items since I will decide each month what I want to work on. Since my UFO is a numbered challenge, I don’t want to end up with 2 large projects in the same month. That’s also why I am not planning to complete each item to the bound stage. It is more a permission to start and work on that item. I am hoping once I start the goal there will be a desire to see it finished when time allows.

Have I bitten off more than I can chew with 5 items each month? 2 sewn and 3 knit? Probably! But it will keep me busy, I hope, and keep me from being unfocused. Like I was at the end of the year since I really didn’t have a project to focus on, not wanting to start anything new. So I just knit on the shawl in progress, after wasting an entire day writing these stupid goal posts! LOL

Hi Chris! I don’t think goal posts are a waste of time at all. It made you really take stock of what you have and what you’d like to accomplish. I think it was a fabulous goal that you completed 52+ hats last year. That is so very cool, and they are all so darn cute. I hope you start on Raspberry Swirl soon – I really look forward to seeing that one finished. Happy Wednesday! ~smile~ Roseanne
