Friday Finish or Not UFO 2019 Bonus Finish

While I am enjoying Seattle, here is a recent finish for you to enjoy. Today’s project comes from my UFO 2019 list but I couldn’t wait for it’s # to be drawn! I found  the FQs in 2017, deep berry colors and a lovely floral in a golden green. They were stashed and loved until I remembered the pattern I had. It was pieced and then hung in my closet for a year!

In November 2018 I heard of a great deal Sue Daurio was offering on her longarm services.I sent them off in January, and they were quickly done and back in my possession!!!! But I was in the middle of quilting, knitting, and piecing other things. But what the heck, knitting could wait until I was in Seattle. Piecing was quickly finished and binding was cut and applied!! I had planned to use this as a UFO draw in 2019, but who could ignore its lure.

And now I have another mini-ish quilt to display in my mudroom!* Soon I won’t have a bare wall to cover. Here is Mini Berry Basket in all its gloriousness. Thank you so much Sue for such a gorgeous quilting job. I love it!

*It’s not really a mudroom, but it’s the area in my house between my garage and kitchen. It’s more of a dumping ground!! LOL

I think I walked over 2 miles today. The waterfront is only 1/2 mile from the Hyatt, right at Pikes Place Market. Shopping fun revealed on Sunday! Cause you know I bought souvenir fiber and fabric!

Hi Chris!! I was at that same market and maybe even the same fabric shop. How very fun. I have sailed from Seattle several times, and took a car up to Vancouver once as well. I love that seaside view, especially when I’m not driving as I thought their traffic was horrible. Enjoy. Yay for a finish! Happy Friday to you!! ~smile~ Roseanne

Your mini turned out great, Chris! I love the colors, and the quilting is really amazing! My house has quilts all over the walls and every horizontal surface – isn’t that what we quilters do?! 🙂

Your Mini Berry Baskets is lovely! So glad you are having fun in Seattle – it is a great city for touristing for sure! Lots of fun sights to see and shopping to be done. Great restaurants too 🙂

Thank you! I enjoyed the making of it. Here in Seattle I want to get out of the city more than in. But no car to use to go see the mountains! At least I can see the water.
