Tuesday To-Do

Here’s the list from Jan 29th-Feb 2nd

  1. Finish Chain hat X
  2. Tack down binding on a quilt
  3. Start the Heart Table Topper
  4. Continue knitting on Fallen Cloud

This week involved 3 days away from home so I was limited in crafting time. The hat is not done, and that’s OK, the local* Ground Hog predicted 6 more weeks of winter for us! The binding was for Feathered Star from my 2019 UFO list. Heart shapes were traced on interfacing and fabric cut. Fallen Cloud saw 1 more skein started!

This week has a bit of travel, so I will take my knitting for those 2 days. But I still have a lot of home time that can yield a lot of sewing.

List for Feb 3rd-9th

  1. Finish Chain
  2. Knit on Fallen Cloud
  3. Applique Hearts
  4. Make Pillowcases
  5. Make February Mystery Blocks for AABRQ

I think Chain will be close to finished after my visit back home for a hair cut and knitting with friends.

Fallen Cloud was knit on while I was helping at the Guild workshop. Even if I wasn’t “In” the class, I was getting the benefit of Heather’s teaching!

Hearts on a String just needs all 34 heart shapes machine appliquéd down. I am planning to change thread color and stitch patterns to keep it interesting.

While at the Guild workshop I was able to get some fabric from our storeroom to make some pillowcases for charity. Hoping I can get 3-4 out of the fabric.

February’s block is out and I am eager to play with my fabrics. Here’s my mock up of the 2 blocks as they would look in a diagonal layout. We make 6 of each but not sure of her layout plans. I also plan to make her February Mini Challenge piece. Here’s my fabric pull. I am thinking  2×3 blocks. The tan fabric on the left will be for the center blocks, fussy cutting the flower.

My EQMini has limited blocks so I often have to make due.

And I think that is more than enough for my week? What about you?

*OK, so we don’t really have a local celebrity ground hog, but WE had sun, so I guess that means WE have 6 more weeks of winter!

Hi Chris! It doesn’t matter what any groundhog says – I know we have at least six more weeks of winter. I look forward to seeing those hearts appliquéd with different stitches and thread colors! Your fabrics for pillowcases are very cute – those will turn out sweet. Great list for the week. ~smile~ Roseanne
