WIP Wednesday/OMG for June

This month is fresh and new! Now, what will I do with it?

June’s Goals

  1. UFO: Finish FootnoteOMG for June
  2. Knitting: Felted Pressing Mat
  3. Sewing: Paper Pieced Star
  4. 12 Hats: Midnattsol– held over from May
  5. 12 Cowls: Sweet Georgia Mulberry yarn, pattern TBD
  6. Mystery BOM: June, last month of this mystery! Next month the layout is revealed.
  7. Guild BOM: July
  8. February Knitting: Afghan Block, last one and then maybe sew that afghan together!
  9. Charity: Little Dresses/Carpenter Star Quilt top
  10. Squirrels: I think this month’s Squirrel will be Red, White, and Blue! Just waiting for inspiration!
  11. DrEAMi: Allow dreams to wander

For June I hope to get my Footnote pieced. I took the class with Crimson Tate in November 2018 and then put it aside since I had deadline sewing/knitting to do. It went on my 29019 UFO schedule to be worked on and finally its time is here. I am not sure how big I will make this, the initial idea was just to make a wall hanging. But now I might do a baby quilt with it, since the colors really do lend themselves to a baby.

So for my OMG in June I hope to get these blocks to a flimsy stage. I have 5 blocks done, only 20 more to go!! These are very quick blocks, so it’s totally doable. And then maybe I can get it quilted too? But I’m not promising that, knowing my track record! I do believe this will be the perfect top to try the spiral quilting technique that Home Sewn recently shared.

Hi Chris! I really like this Footnote pattern design. Is it easy to put together? It looks hard! I love the blocks that you have made already. Oooh, thanks for the shout out about the spiral quilting and I do think this would cool as your first project. Once you do it, you’ll find it so easy you’ll want to do it again. ~smile~ Roseanne

Ooh, a kaleidoscope quilt has been on my wish list for a long time, and yours is simply dreamy in those fabrics. Good luck with your June goals! Those goals would keep ME busy for about 10 years…

I really love your start on the Footnote quilt. Great choice of fabrics. Good luck getting 20 more blocks done and sewn together – and with your other goals.

Great goals for June! Can’t wait to see how Footnote turns out. It would be awesome with spiral quilting! Thanks for linking to Wednesday Wait Loss.
