Prairie Afghan Square #8
Prairie Afghan Square #8

Today is quild, so there won’t be much of any sewing. I will likely take my knitting to the meeting so I can get something done. Cast on for Midnattsol, so 6″ of ribbing, or whenever I tire of it, to do. At least I finished the last square of the red afghan!!! Now to get it all seamed up. That will take forever!!!! I hate seaming squares. So why, oh, why, did I choose a squares project for this blanket? No clue. I wish I had found this series before starting this project! Then the squares would have been more uniform. But not going back now. Hopefully C-Man will get this blanket by his birthday in August.

In the planning stage are many things, including the fabric I bought over the weekend!

This group is going to be a Patriotic mini that may be 1 block, as designed by FB group owner, or maybe 4 blocks a la this wall hanging. Different borders and such, but the same layout.

This pile will be getting a scrappy treatment, I am thinking something simple with a big border!. Maybe Rosie Finch, or, Ellie’s Tea Garden?

These pieces are for separate projects. The Navy is for the small blocks everyone is making. The dark red and gold are for a Christmasy project. The middle two, who knows!

This Fat Eighth group was a destash purchase from PbQ. Kim Diehl Fabric, how can I pass that up!! So, what to make with this? It came with a pattern, but I am not likely going to use it. So far nothing has jumped out at me, so I will let it ruminate. So, since June 1st I have added 7 yards, that’s almost a yard a day. I gotta stop this!!!

So, what’s on your wall,  sister’s chair, BioGirl’s bed, your floor or sewing table today?

Great fabric. I’m thinking about working on my spool blocks if I can get my work done early enough. Mom’s got all her’s done so I have to catch up

Congrats on finishing your knitted blanket squares! I bet that once you start seaming them, it will go much quicker than expected.
