Or not, you be the judge. My sister is out of town again, so it’s dog sitting time for me. Only this time I am doing it at her house and not mine, so that Little Butt doesn’t use my house for his bathroom. I love him, but not that much! To wile away my time while there I am taking my knitting and sewing. A girl’s gotta have a distraction!
For my distraction I will cast on a hat. I am making another Winter’s Fern, 3rd time’s a charm? 4th time’s a folly? Well, it’s just such a wonderful pattern I can’t help myself. These two will be a combo of these yarns, or maybe 2 shades of gray that just happened to be ordered the other night to try with the aqua ball.
The small ball above the others is actually tan, not silver as it appears. I have 2 skeins of Berkshire Heathers coming from WEBS, dark charcoal and light gray, hoping they might blend with the aqua heather. I know I don’t have enough of the oatmeal heather to do both hats. I love the honey and aqua together, but I adore the burgundy colorway. So you can see why I must make 2, and I know 2 lovely nieces who will be the recipients.
The sewing project is Cabin Skein, a combo log cabin/flying geese wall hanging. I have been in love with this top forever! And finally I am clearing the schedule to start it. I have 3 days to fill, so I wanted a variety of options. I will also have materials on hand for the Guild BOM. I need to use a solid white and color, which is very much missing from my stash. I may have just enough.
