#1 is already done! I am leaving with my guild today for a trip to Michigan to see the quilt show in Grand Rapids. It will be so much fun!!! I made this tote for my roomie, a lovely lady who is just so sweet. She likes blue, so I was thrilled when I found this home dec, on Monday afternoon! I raced home and sewed until it was done. I replaced the straps with just plain straps, just wasn’t in the mood.
I had also planned to make one for me, but by the time we got home Sunday I was too spent to do anything but knit and watch Skyfall with Hubster. He thought he was putting on Spectre, I couldn’t understand why he was watching Skyfall when it’s his least favorite. LOL!
So my tote will get done when I return home, and I might get some Pellon foam to use in place of fusible fleece. It just doesn’t have any oomph. I like my totes to have some shape and keep it. Also maybe use a heavier interfacing on the lining. The one I tried to use for the tote above was not interfacing. Ugh! I thought I was grabbing interfacing, but I had Pattern Ease. Ripped it out.
I leave you with a photo of the old dog, getting ready to celebrate 11 years old! He thought we was helping with the laundry. LOL
