Tuesday To-Do

Last Week’s Goals:

  1. Make Tote for a gift
  2. Finish Sunflowers
  3. Finish Showl
  4. Cast on Winter’s Fern #5
  5. Bus trip to Michigan
  6. Finish my Tote X

This Week’s Goals:

  1. Finish my tote
  2. Quilt and bind the scrappy quilt  just need to tack down the binding on back
  3. Bind a charity quilt
  4. Cast on the 2nd test knit of the showl
  5. Hang with my sewing buds at UFO day
  6. Write that showl pattern!
  7. Get serious about the rest of 2019

I took 2 quilts to the UFO sewing day with my guild and got the Carpenter Star bound and label on. But I put the label in the upper right corner of the back instead of the lower right where I intended it. Oh well, it will still give comfort, and that’s what it’s meant to do! The second quilt is the one for our friend who is doing treatment for breast cancer. I will do a full reveal on Friday.

I want to share photos of the quilts I feel in love with at the AQS show. These were stunning and fantastic and way beyond anything I could ever do! Click on the photos to enlarge.

The first two were from the Kaffe Fassett exhibit, just love the colors
The 3rd quilt is a very elaborate Storm at Sea, exquisite
The 4th one was just fabulous in colors and quilting

The Orange Peel has always been a fav and this one took it up a notch
The middle quilt has the same block as my Titch, but uses an alternate block with great effect
The last one just had stunning colors in a simple pattern, but oh the quilting!

The one I loved best of all!!!! His eyes, just draw you in, that snout!
I just want to boop it!!!

And these two could have been made by Miss Jayne!

So, which one is your favorite?

  1. Hi Chris! Oh man, after you whipped up that tote for your roomie I’m sorry you didn’t get to make one for yourself. But I know you will get that complete sooner than later. I have to say again how much I LOVE that cowl. Oooh, those quilts . . . I have to go with the puppy quilt. He looks like a love and I’d like to boop his snout as well. That and get some kisses and wags. ~smile~ Roseanne
