In: Ordered fabric from Winter Creek Cloth, great service and wonderful fabrics! I didn’t buy with any idea in mind, just saw things I like and bought a yard. I needed to support a business with my dollars, so I got great fabric at a good price. Likely will be bag exteriors and whatnot. I also had to go out to get some thread for top stitching and zippers for the bags in process. My current supplier is closed due to the virus shutdown.
Out: Finished Hope Blocks for Willow, still behind on the finish, made blanks for a zippered pouch, didn’t have the right color zipper, finished my star blocks and got them attached to the top, Moda weekly block #17, 1st wedding topper of the month pieced, and 4 mini blocks for a small runner were pieced and the top is sandwiched ready to quilt.
FO’s: 2 masks each for my Mom and MIL, but I did call my sister and tell her the masks really aren’t fail safe*. 2 pouches were made this week, 1 for a gift, 1 for fun and future giving. I seem to be collecting these extra pouches I don’t need!

* Some Drs say they will not keep you from getting infected, and can cause issues with compromised lungs, which Mom/MIL have. An ill-fitting mask will not prevent infection, I prefer they stay in. But, this world will never be rid of viruses and accidents, trying to mitigate them will rule your life. There’s a point where risk/reward has to be addressed by each individual. YMMV, we make decisions based on our situations.
You had a really great week on the stitching front! That teal bag turned out beautifully. Hope this week is as good.
Thanks! I may not get as much done this week since I will be trying to eat out at all my favorite restaurants now that they are allowed to open, albeit 50% capacity. I may have long waits to get in the door!! I love that bag, now I need to decide what home decor fabrics I want to use to make the large version for myself. > >
I love that paisley fabric that you show I think I love anything paisley – leftover love from the 70’s perhaps LOL
I know! I love paisley and even now I am getting into florals. I used to hate florals. But I guess our likes change over time. > >
Good stitching progress! The blue bag is very cheeful.
Thanks! I hope my niece loves it, but even better, uses it! > >
I love little bags and pouches. A funny story…. when my Dad passed away, we did a Hawaiian theme because he wore Hawaiian shirts all the time. When Mom passed, we did a pink theme for the memorial because she loved pink. I asked my daughter what the theme would be for my memorial and she said….wait for it…. Bags. LOL So, I am the bag lady. I’m not sure how she is going to pull that one off, but that was her idea. LOL
OMG!!! That is too funny. So I will end up the “pouch” lady? Euuw!! Thanks for the laugh!! > >
Hi,
Love your quilt blocks …so pretty.
Have a great day!
Hey, Sherry! Thanks for stopping by and commenting. So far it has been a wonderful day! > >
Beauty at your fingertips!
There’s just so much lovely fabric to use, and I want to use it all right now!! LOL > >
Love your new fabrics!
I am hoping they are as pretty in person as online! > >
I’m always impressed with your “nothing in” reports for knitting.
But that Fabric In report is never NOTHING!!! And don’t think I am not tempted by yarn, it’s just that I know I have so much to use up before I should buy more. Wait, why isn’t that thought working for the fabric? LOL > >
