Today I am joining in with Slow Sunday Stitching because I actually have some Slow Stitching to do! The Guild Challenge is done with the machine quilting, binding is sewn on, now I get to tack it to the back. So today I will take things a little slow and easy and think on all the things I want to put on my July list for my monthly goals.

Oops, maybe I’m not really done with the machine quilting!

  1. You definitely had a good, if somewhat busy week. If you learned the skill, I’d count the day you spent at skill share. But that’s completely up to you what you count and what you don’t. Have a great slow stitching Sunday.

  2. You are doing great. Love the tote and pouch. Very nice pouch for leftovers. I just got some zippers from a moving sale, so I should do something fun with them.

  3. I love your pouch sooooo much… I clicked the link for the pattern but it didn’t lead anywhere… do you make your own pulls with beads? I love mixing quilting with bag making…
Let me ask you since you said this was your second tote too if you don’t mind… would it hold a vintage Singer 401a.. about 40 pounds… hmmm I have pondered a similar bag for her to keep it clean and take it to where she has good electricity and light for sewing 🙂 Long story but thanks for any info! Enjoyed visiting your blog today for sure! Kathi

    1. Thanks. I don’t think I had a link to a pattern in the post, but the pattern I use is Noodlehead’s Open Wide Zippered Pouch, https://noodle-head.com/2012/06/open-wide-zippered-pouch-diy-tutorial.html Yes, I use a wire wrap method, much like making an earring, to make my pulls. As to the tote, it uses plastic screen mesh fabric, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. You might get a bag insert, by Annie has them, to use for a stable base. https://www.byannie.com/supplies-and-tools/base-stabilizers
