Friday FO! Or No

Well, no FO today. Not that I didn’t try, but the tear down of Christmas took a bit of time, and then I had to try and decide how I was going to quilt the thing that possibly could have been done for the Friday FO, that I started piecing at 3:00 PM on Wednesday. But half done is not a FO, so here’s a bit of sneak peek at what I will be working on tonight during FNwF.

I picked up two lovely FQs of a dainty flower. Not being a soft yellow person I really cannot say why I had to have this piece. But I found it and a dark gray remnant and just knew they were destined to be together. I gathered another softer gray and a deeper yellow and put them all with a buttery cream for a lovely combo. But what to make with it?

Visiting others’ blogs can be a wealth of inspiration, or a general Rabbit Hole full of Squirrels! And that’s where Wendy tripped me up! Hmm, Project QUILTING. A Challenge I have never been interested in before. But look! Gray and Yellow!!!

So I give you Gray Scale

Come back Monday for the final reveal!

And exciting news!! For my birthday, tomorrow, not telling how old!, Hubster has bought me a Pantograph system for Gigi!!! Now I can do allover designs from the backside of my machine. Oh please, give me all your tips and tricks please!!

    1. Thanks, it is something I saw somewhere, but couldn’t remember where, so I had to try to duplicate it. If I ever find it again I am buying that pattern. Why don’t I just do that when I see it the first time? LOL > >

  1. Hi Chris! Oh, that color palette!! That would almost go along with the Project Quilting 12.1 challenge, too, in those colors. Aha – Wendy already led you done that path. I can’t wait to see the full reveal. I’m so glad you rescued those pretty fabrics. ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. It drew me in for some reason! Thank you, I asked a local shop owner to give me lessons when she has a chance. I want to make sure I learn from the ground up! > >

      1. I love yellow and grey quilts but they would not suit us. It is a very effective table runner.
