Baby quilt for hire is done, see more below! At sewing bee I did my guild BOM and then moved on to a Pop Up for sewing trash when traveling. Worked on EC’s sweater. On Wednesday, I needed to create something, I made a mini from the BOM scraps. Some of these fabrics came from Seattle in 2019, I call it Seattle Mini. Then prepped a back for Oh My Stars, and cut and fused/quilted pieces for a Ten Pocket Tote. While using my camping rocker I knit a newborn beanie, for Baby EC, and then while watching The Hobbit I made a baby sized beanie, headed to Denver. I just love these poofs! And then I FMQ’d a charity top for a friend, tried a Paisley Flower motif. Then it was Monday and I thought, why not trim away a little more on the appiliqué quilt for hire and then knit the day away. Whew, it’s not all that impressive when you realize it’s a lot of little/quick things!

Next week:

  1. Ten Pocket Tote
  2. Drive parents home/hair cut
  3. Knit for Baby EC
  4. Get Oh My Stars on Gigi

I will be gone from Wed-Sun this week so I am planning on a light list. Since I won’t be in my sewing studio I plan to take knitting. And then at some point I need to get my UFO for July done, so quilting Oh My Stars needs to happen before the 27th, as I am headed to Florida for a vaca.

Quilting sisters in the Guild approached me about quilting a baby top they made for a friend’s grandbaby. I nervously said yes, though still not confident in my skills for hire. Once I saw it I had a vision, just hope I did the adorable top justice.

  1. You had a lot of progress last week. I’m going light on my list this week as well. The baby quilt turned out beautifully, your vision really worked with the design. Good luck with this week’s list. Happy stitching.

  2. Yes you did that baby quilt total justice! Is that a high heel in one of your photos? I picture you in constant motion to get all done that you do. Enjoy your vacation!

    1. Absolutely Sharon! I am happy to take on charity quilts because I can let my imagination run wild. I am just glad this for hire job turned out OK. > >

  3. Oh Chris!!! You did a fabulous job on the baby quilt-for-hire. I just LOVE the stitch you chose for the mountain peaks!!! LOVE! Yowza – you had a busy week. Yippee for the upcoming vacay. I have no doubt you’ll have that UFO all finished by the 27th. Enjoy your week. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. Thanks Roseanne! I am so leery about quilting for hire, it feels good to know I am not a total mess up! I can’t wait, Florida here I come, in a week or so! > >

  4. That baby quilt is great–and your quilting is perfect! Nicely done! Love your scrappy squares quilt too–I know I need to get on something with my scrap squares so I’m always interested in seeing the various layout options. As always, thanks for hosting the linkup!

  5. I think you accomplished a lot! Whew! And while traveling too. Then vacation to Florida! Yell, Hi! to my daughter and family! Have a great time and enjoy!

  6. Hi Chris,
What a great list of little things to get done. I really like the little baby hats and
the tote bag is awesome. Have a great day!

  7. Chris I love that block that looks like a shoe!! What fun projects this week! It’s funny you call your longarm GiGi, which is my grandma name. My longarm is named Mrs. Mattie after my grandmother! LOL Have a great week!
