To-Do Tuesday

Last Week

  1. Get back to my quilting machine!!! √
  2. Organize my stash √
  3. Find border fabric for EC’s quilt /
  4. Make another pumpkin stack /
  5. Decorate for Fall!! √
  6. Finish Let Freedom Ring √
  7. Finish Star Banner √

I got back to quilting!! And I hadn’t forgotten how! I put all the errant fabric away, organized-no, put away-yes. I have narrowed down the border for EC’s quilt to 2, one I have enough fabric for, the other I have to go shopping, I will likely ask Diva her preference. I have the fabric picked out for the pumpkin stack! Let Freedom Ring is quilted and hung on the wall for 2 days, and then out came the Fall decor! And Star Banner laid on the table for about a same amount of time. LOL

This Week: Quilt more things!!

  1. My September UFO Fox and Geese
  2. Customer Applique Quilt
  3. EC’s Baby quilt borders
  4. EC’s monthly photo shoot mat
  5. 3 Charity quilts for friends
  6. 1 Charity baby quilt of mine
  7. Make soup for Diva and CarGuy
  8. Sewing Bee today!

That’s a very ambitious list, and I know I won’t get more than 3 done. My Fox and Geese is 108″ square! I just need to figure out how to hold all the excess up around the frame to keep it out of the way. My customer quilt is over 70″x80″! I plan on doing ruler work on both. This is when I wonder why I didn’t get a 10′ frame instead of buying EC’s crib and car seat. OK, those 2 items were not as much as a 10′ frame, but there went my nest egg. LOL! I plan on adding the borders today at my bee, and then I hope to get my Fox and Geese sandwiched. With 8 foot tables at hand I can lay it all out. I may have to push 3 together and then who knows if I can reach the center!

I plan to make Diva and CarGuy a few meals each week to have on hand when she can’t be up and cooking. She is doing much better and we are hoping she can go to her due date, Nov 28th.

We also got our new couch Sunday!!!

Someone is back in his happy place!

  1. Look at you with all those checkmarks! Glad things are a bit more normal at your house. 108″ is a BIG quilt! Thanks for the update on Diva, glad things are settling down and praying the baby stays put till due date. What kind of soup will you make?
Thanks for linking up to To Do Tuesday!

  2. Hi Chris! I’m so glad that Diva and baby E are doing much better. I hope she can make it to her due date – that is Andrea’s birthday. She would make a good birthday buddy! Yowza! Those are two big quilts on your list for this week. Good luck, my friend. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. Sounds like it’s been a good week at your house! Glad you can get back to the quilting machine, and having a customer quilt is great! It’s good to hear your daughter and baby-to-be are doing well, too.

  4. I’m so glad your daughter is doing better….
The fact that you are back to getting things done off your list is wonderful!

    1. Thanks Cindy! I think my brain was finally able to re-engage with my sewing and knitting. There’s some busy weeks coming in October, but hopefully I can align my crafting with my location! > >

  5. Great list! I need to get back to quilting, too, since there’s all that fabric waiting as well as some unfinished quilts. Thanks for the inspiration!
