In: Gah! I need to stop buying. Good thing most of these are just Fat Quarters. The first photo is from Always In Stitches, the peachy one is the border fabric for EC’s quilt. The rolls are called orphans, usually 9″-12″ X WOF pieces. The strips are $.10 a piece! The 2nd photo is from the University of Sewing trailer that came to visit the guild on Monday. The last is from our Steals and Deals table at guild, those 3 purples in the front were ones I didn’t get last month, and couldn’t leave them on the table this month! I don’t like purple? LOL.

Out: Basically nothing! That’s what happens when you make small items. Cut some more squares for another placemat. At sewing with the guild buddies I made my BOM for November and started piecing the feathered star from a patriotic fabric pull.

Out: A little bit due to going to watch our friend’s son play soccer, they won! So the dress skirt gets a little longer.

And that’s my week! Link parties in the sidebar, come join the fun.

  1. I’ve made more purchases lately too! I keep telling myself that I could be spending my money much less wisely. I made small purchases yesterday at 3 different vendors at our local quilt show.

  2. Hmmm, yummy week, with pretty new fabrics (oh I loooove the green, the blue and the black ones from the University of Sewing trailer !) (and purple of course !), lovely flying geese and feathered star blocks, and progress on the cute knitting dress!
Thank you for sharing your week, and linking up with Patchwork & Quilts!

    1. The pattern is for a 35” square, but I am only using the center star block, which is about 15”. I need to add some borders to it and then quilt it and wash it. I want it washed to bring out the crinkle and then I will size it up to the frame and add the fabric to wrap around the wood. > >

  3. I love the fabrics in those little squares and the ones that you purchased recently. Your dress is growing nicely.

Cat got your tongue?
