I will be staying with my parents for a few days so that my Sister can come up here to meet Squish. Since she has been a 2nd Mom to my girls, I want to ensure she is as much a part of her Great-Niece’s life as she was Diva’s. I am so glad that my girls had someone who was there for them when they were mad at Mom and Dad. A neutral sounding board, but she always reminded them of our good intentions at parenting, even when we failed. I just wish I could be there to see their first meeting!!!
Since I will be away from the sewing room, and I have seemed to lose a little quilting mojo, I am taking yarn and ideas for hats. Hats are always a quick and easy knit when I am likely to be distracted and just need foolproof.

Your hat for Squish is adorable Chris! Glad you were able to get your tree up even if husband didn’t fluff it. I spent about an hour fluffing ours yesterday. I’m thinking of going professional – lol! How great that your sister gets to stay a few days!
Thank you for linking with To Do Tuesday. :).
Hubster is very Bah Humbug when it comes to Christmas, but at least he puts up the outside lights and tree, just no decorating it. LOL > >
That dress for is lovely! As Mama would say, you have magic hands! Your shawl came out so elegant! What a precious time your Sister is sure to have meeting her Great-niece! Yes, I’m sure you’d love to be there. Your parents are so blessed to have you both!
Thanks Mia, I am so glad Squish gets to spend 1 on 1 time with my sister. > >
What a cute new hat and shoes for sweet baby Squish.
Have a great time with your parents and happy knitting, Chris.
Thanks Ivani! I love the bootie but will try to convert it to all on the needles with no seaming! > >
I love the shawl, especially the shape and the border pattern.
That’s what drew me to the pattern, but that border took forever because I kept messing up! LOL > >
Tis the season to lose your routine! la, la, la, la, la….
Hats are a good idea!
Amen!! But it’s a good change sometimes. > >
So much done as always! Just love the hat and boots–that red is beautiful!
I feel like I’ve been slacking!! Thanks > >
Hi Chris! Oh, so glad your sister gets to meet Ms. Squish. I don’t know what we’d do without our great-littles in our lives. We’d sorely miss them, that’s for sure. We were always a sounding board for Andrea and her brothers, as well. Sometimes you just need to vent about stuff and not to your parents! Have fun spending time with your parents! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
My original response got lost somewhere! Thank you as always, we will hope to NEVER not have those littles in our life!!
Enjoy your time with your parents! It’s a busy season! Know your sister appreciates the chance to get to know Squish!
> Yes, Judy, she is loving meeting Squish! >
I can tell you’re having so much fun knitting things for the baby! They’re beautiful, too, and I bet she’ll get a lot of use out of them. Hope things are good at your parents’ place. So nice that you and your sister can trade off!
Thanks Diann, I AM having fun!! > >
