To Do Tuesday

Last Week:

  1. Quilt something!!! I have 2 table toppers to finish X
  2. Finish Squish’s Dress √
  3. Try to sneak in some baby snuggles!! √
  4. Decorate the tree! Hubster didn’t even fluff out the branches. LOL X
  5. Extra: More baby stuff! √
  6. Extra: Finished Regina Marie Shawl √
  7. Extra: Made some booties for Squish √

√ Done / In Progress X Not Done

Next Week:

  1. Hat for a friend’s great-grandbaby
  2. Hat for Squish
  3. Charity Hat
  4. Quilting when I return home

I will be staying with my parents for a few days so that my Sister can come up here to meet Squish. Since she has been a 2nd Mom to my girls, I want to ensure she is as much a part of her Great-Niece’s life as she was Diva’s. I am so glad that my girls had someone who was there for them when they were mad at Mom and Dad. A neutral sounding board, but she always reminded them of our good intentions at parenting, even when we failed. I just wish I could be there to see their first meeting!!!

Since I will be away from the sewing room, and I have seemed to lose a little quilting mojo, I am taking yarn and ideas for hats. Hats are always a quick and easy knit when I am likely to be distracted and just need foolproof.

  1. Your hat for Squish is adorable Chris! Glad you were able to get your tree up even if husband didn’t fluff it. I spent about an hour fluffing ours yesterday. I’m thinking of going professional – lol! How great that your sister gets to stay a few days!
Thank you for linking with To Do Tuesday. :).

  2. That dress for is lovely! As Mama would say, you have magic hands! Your shawl came out so elegant! What a precious time your Sister is sure to have meeting her Great-niece! Yes, I’m sure you’d love to be there. Your parents are so blessed to have you both!

  3. Hi Chris! Oh, so glad your sister gets to meet Ms. Squish. I don’t know what we’d do without our great-littles in our lives. We’d sorely miss them, that’s for sure. We were always a sounding board for Andrea and her brothers, as well. Sometimes you just need to vent about stuff and not to your parents! Have fun spending time with your parents! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. I can tell you’re having so much fun knitting things for the baby! They’re beautiful, too, and I bet she’ll get a lot of use out of them. Hope things are good at your parents’ place. So nice that you and your sister can trade off!
