In: Nothing. My favorite local shop in Florida is permanently closed. Wah!

Out:2 tops are almost ready for quilting. Farm Charm is done, but Baby Music needs borders. And that’s where you come in. Which one do you prefer? The 1st has simple background borders, the 2nd has a purple flange inside the gold border, and the 3rd has a side of each color. #1 is the first thought I had, but it’s blah and only gives me a 38″ square before shrinking. My mind says #2. But #3 would be fun. What think you? 2 and 3 are 48″ square before shrinkage.

I have been knitting a bit with the travel in the car, so a sleeve is getting some love, but not much movement on the yardage I HATE knitting sleeves! Especially when it’s tiny sleeves on tiny sweaters. Should have brought some DPNs.

  1. Hi! Hmm. What is your focus on the baby quilt? Is it supposed to be music, or do they planning a purple/orange/yellow/gray nursery? Or don’t you know? I would go with the music notes because I think that makes the colorful squares pop. I really look forward to seeing what you choose – number 3 is fun and my next choice. Safe travels – get home safely to Ms. Squish. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Chickadee

  2. Farm Charm is beautiful, I like the clever layout. Baby Music looks wonderful too, and I think the #3 is fun! Looking forward to seeing what you will choose.
Thank you for sharing, and linking up 😉

  3. I really like them all: 1 – if music is really the thing, 2- brings the bright colors out and 3- gives each color in the border a chance to shine…so I am no help at all.

On another note, I just saw you have doodles. We lost our 3o lb Percy, 14 1/2 in September and miss him terribly. We’ll get another, I think, but we want to get some travel in before we do that…I think. Of course, what was I doing just before this….looking at doodle sites.

    1. Oh my, I am so sorry for your loss. Our oldest is 45 lbs at 14 years old. The youngest is 40 lbs at 12 years. They are supposed to be “mini”, but they outgrew their size. Neither is overweight, they are just bigger than expected. I am sure iNDy (Notre Dame), the elder brother, is on his last years, but Mini Cooper is still spry at 12. They are just the best dogs!! But after they pass we will likely not get another, we are ready to be able to travel without worry. And you are right, you were no help on the borders! LOL
