  5. Table Runner for friend √
  6. Guild BOM √

  9. Charity Top /

Baby Bon Bon saw no progress, I need more batting. Wedding Quilt has been pieced, need to add lettering. RBD block was made and I love it. I finally got January’s Rocker Pillow cover made!! Used my embroidery machine on it. Made another Split Heart for the Guild BOM, they are fun! And I did some work on my SAHRR for the 1st round, but I can’t show that yet, so here’s my starting center. Monday was Charity sewing at my guild so I got 1 top done and started another.

This Week:

  1. Finish Wedding Quilt
  2. Finish Baby Bon Bon
  3. SAHRR
  4. RBD Block

Wedding is Saturday! EEK! Pattern from Church Street Pattern Co., Established. Baby Bon Bon is still not here, must get quilt done! Keep ahead of the weekly rounds on SAHRR. Today is the next RBD block, loving this project. Trying to use up scraps, but I did buy some background for the entire event.

My January rocker pillow cover is full of snowflakes using some appliqué motifs from my EQ8 program. But instead of loading up the area with 5 appliqués, I decided to add some embroidered snowflakes since I got my machine for Christmas. I will tell on myself, I thought I was using wash away stabilizer on top, but it was not!!! ARGH! I am learning. So I had picked and cut away as much of it as I can, and it’s all good. It’s just a rocking chair pillow, not a show piece.

I had some blank areas to fill, so I decided on a snowflake panto and used it to fill in. This meant trying to determine where to “place” my panto to get the snowflake to be in the area I wanted it to be. And then I filled in with FMQ. I am not 100% in love with my FMQ, but who cares, again, it’s a rocking chair pillow.

The back is the check fabric with the full panto design. But it’s impossible to see the quilting, so just take my word for it. I do love it, mistakes and all!! If I did it again, more embroidered snowflakes to fill in the negative space.

  1. You had more check marks than not, so a good week for the to do list. Your chair pillow turned out beautifully! Good luck with this week’s list.

  2. Hi Chris! That heart block is so darn cute. It’s called a Split Heart? It looks like it is fun to make and not too difficult. I love the idea of your rocking chair monthly pillow. I’m certain Ms. Squish thinks they are put there just for her enjoyment. Good luck with this week’s list. Get that Wedding Quilt finished!! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. Hi Chris. You had another fantastic week with so much accomplished. The Wedding Quilt fabrics are lovely. I think your rocker cushion is perfect! Embroidery machines are going to be an addiction for me I think, but the stabilizer oops will likely happen often to me as I learn. Good luck getting your list done. Wedding Quilt and BonBon’s will be done I’m sure. 😉 Thank you for linking with To Do Tuesday. Enjoy your sewing time and especially snuggle time with Miss Squish 🤗

  4. That’s such a beautiful pillow again! I l love that you make new ones each season (month?). Such a great way to add a bit of seasonal decoration.

  5. Your chair pillow is gorgeous!! Love the mix of embroidered and appliqued snowflakes, and the quilting really complements it!
I also love your heart block and Valentine runner 🙂
