I took a class at Quilts Plus on curved piecing. I pulled the leftovers from EC’s quilts for this. I am thinking it might make a great wallhanging for her room.
The class blocks above were 6″ in size, but I knew I wanted to make smaller blocks, so I had to figure out how to reduce them down. I used a 9″ circle for the quarter circle and an 8″ ruler for the concave piece.
The result was a perfect 5″ block!
Blocks, Top, Back
I was going for high contrast, but missed it on a few blocks. I thought this would be a great piece to hang above EC’s crib to engage her attention.
My To-Do for this week
- Quilting, anything!
- Baby Snuggles!!!
Need to finish up this Tummy Time quilt for the guild’s charity drive.
Did you catch my announcement up there? I am going to enjoy our EC!!! We are so thankful for all the prayers and good thoughts you wonderful bloggers have sent their way! It worked! She came on her Dad’s birthday while the movie she is named for played on TV. LOL We turned it on and she arrived while the closing minutes of the movie played out, where the car she is named after is being driven in a getaway scene. It was FATE!
That’s my week! Link parties in the sidebar, come join the fun.
