FNwF

Once again I was away from home for FNwF, so my Friday crafting was knitting. I am working on baby things, I had a Sweet Pumpkin hat to finish up.

This is where I started the evening, and this is where I finished the evening!

We were at an outdoor event and the daylight was gone before I could finish. I will quickly finish the decreases and make the top knot while watching UEFA games today. Then it’s back to the sewing room! Or maybe I will cast on the baby sweater

How did your Friday night go?

FNwF

It’s Friday Night with Friends! And it truly was a FNwF for us. We headed south for a weekend in our hometown. A friend’s daughter is getting married, so we wouldn’t miss the party! Hubster played golf with several of the family friends on Friday while I went shopping! I needed yarn for the Baby’s Christmas Hat, and I knew just the place to get a fix. Sheepskeins was my LYS before I moved 3 hours north, and when I am back in town I try to drop in for what I might need. This time it was Red and Cream Superwash.

I am making a Stocking Cap for Baby B, sorry the pattern is no longer available. I used the green from the Yoda Hat for the brim and will finish off with the pom pom in green.

After golfing Hubster and I took his mom out for pizza and then we headed off to join the family friends for a fire pit evening. I cast on for the hat and knit until the light faded. This is the result of a night with great friends!

Working through the decreases now, but the pom pom will have to wait until we get back home, I didn’t even think to bring my pom makers with me!

It’s that time again! Friday Night with Friends. Thanks to Cheryl for hosting this each month! Here’s what I am working on, what about you?

This weekend is killer for us, Grad party for Diva on Saturday night, and then a Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday morning, all at our house. So cleaning has to happen this week!!! I hate cleaning. I would prefer to just work on my projects! LOL. Here’s what I am working on during FNwF.

I asked Diva what quilt she would like as a wedding gift. I showed her some patterns and also a project I already had in the works. She choose the project in progress! Yay for me! The one she decided on is Willow QAL March 2020. At this time I was doing 4 sew alongs. Oy!, what was I thinking? I just need to decide which version to go with, and then look for a good border fabric. I don’t have enough of what I wanted to use.

This week I have been working on getting the last blocks, the sashing cornerstones, made. At 3″ finished, they are a bit fiddly. I needed 24 and was able to get them all  done. Now to sash all the blocks and join it all together. I still need to find a border fabric since the one I was hoping to use isn’t going to cover my yardage needs.

I need it done by July 24th, so time’s a wasting. Off I go to get some sewing done before the party tonight. Good thing we are just ordering pizza, cause I have 25 blocks, 24 cornerstones, 4 corner triangles, and and 64 sashing pieces to put together!
