To Do Tuesday

Playing along with Texas Quilt Gal for To-Do Tuesday!

Last Week:

  1. Car for Dad √
  2. Wedding Quilt /
  3. Plan Baby Quilt #4 X
  4. Dresden X
  5. Squish’s sweater /
  6. Missing Squish /////!!!!
  7. Extra: Placemats √√/
  8. Extra: Leaders-9 Patch /
  9. Extra: Flag Pillow cover /

Caring for Dad brings home how much my sister does, she’s a saint! I tried to sew, but the weight of the wedding top was too much for the travel machine. I think the feed dogs are failing, it’s 1 seam short of ready for the border. I worked on a wool appliqué project and completed a cross-stitch.

What a mess!

Once home I tidied up the sewing room, i.e. cleared off the cutting table/ironing board, and uncovered leftovers from quilts, so I made a placemat. I needed L/E while sewing, so I pulled 2″ squares. No idea what I’m doing with them. So, did I get back to what I was supposed to do, no, I finished other placemats. I was making a new one, why not get back to the old ones! And last minute Monday, I just had to get that flag pillow cover started for the Summer rocker pillow. Cause I have no self control!! Bwahahaha!!! And, Squish has no body control, so she gets in corners.

This Week:

  1. Lunch with friend
  2. Sewing with friends
  3. Wedding Quilt
  4. Picnic quilting
  5. Dresden Plates
  6. Squirrel

Squish and I are on an adventure to meet up with a friend from Ohio today. Dresden Plates are on my mind, baby arrives in July, got to get going! Too many things to be done by July and here it’s already the last week of May!!! Squirrels? I need some pouches for gifts, perfect for my sewing bee project?

To Do Tuesday

Each Tuesday I play along with Texas Quilt Gal for To-Do Tuesday, check it out!

Last Week:

  1. Quilt on Picnic /
  2. Get Headbands done X
  3. Figure out Wedding Quilt X
  4. More Dresden Plates X
  5. Extra: Cross Path Pillow √
  6. Extra: Hold a Jelly Roll Race √
  7. Extra: Iron Station for friend √

I have 2 more rounds of quilting, and 2 sides on the right to go, this can be done before May’s end if I am diligent. No headbands, Wedding Quilt, or Dresden plates, gah! I did make a new pillow, shot a tutorial of how I do zipper backs, and wrote a pattern. Now I know why I don’t write up my designs!! LOL. Monday we held a Jelly Roll Race in honor of our city’s big event each May, the Indianapolis 500! We were a few weeks early with our race, but that’s OK, we raced for our guild’s charity committee. And finally, another Squirrel bit this week. A friend asked me to make her an iron station for her sewing room. Hubster supplied the wood skills and I covered it in batting and fabric.

I’m surprised I got anything done with having Squish each day since Tuesday. She spent the night Saturday, and you know nothing got done! Just lots of snuggles and laughs. She is rolling over and now has started getting up on her hands and knees. Crawling is soooo close! Her Aunt CeCe made her outfit, so cute. And I couldn’t resist this Squishmallow, I mean, it couldn’t be any more apropos!

This Week:

  1. Take care of Dad while Sis is gone
  2. Work on Wedding Quilt
  3. Plan Baby Quilt #4
  4. Dresden Plates
  5. Knit on Squish’s sweater
  6. Missing my Squish

Wedding Quilt is still on the list, I am house bound with my Dad so I plan to work on sewing and knitting. No quilting as I am away from Gigi. And I am away from Squish!!!

To Do Tuesday

Each Tuesday I play along with Texas Quilt Gal for To-Do Tuesday, check it out!

Last Week:

  1. Get Picnic Back On The Frame /
  2. Maybe another garment for Squish X
  3. Diva’s Wedding Quilt X
  4. Home town trip for a friend’s Bday √
  5. Make more headbands for Squish /
  6. Extra: SG’s Table Runner √
  7. Extra: Dresden Plate Pillow /
  8. Extra: Dresden Plate Baby /
  9. Extra: Baby sweater knitting /
  10. Extra: Class with Toby Lischko /

Picnic is on the frame and 2 more rounds were designed, now just 2 more design rounds to go, but a lot of quilting to still be done on the sides. I haven’t finished each round, just worked on 1-2 sides as I figure out the designs I want to use. No garment sewing this week. Nor did I fish out the wedding quilt blocks. We did get back home for our friend’s Bday and took Squish so she could spend time with family, but I didn’t finish her headbands. I did finish SG’s latest table runner and delivered it, with food, for a socially distanced Mother’s Day visit. She and EG have a bug, so we sat outside and ate our Italian dinners. Yummy! I finished a Dresden Plate for a pillow front, and got the center on it and one of the plates for the baby quilt. Then started another plate for the baby quilt. So now there’s 4 plates for the baby quilt, but not sure how many more I am making. I also got some rounds knit on Squish’s 1st Year Bday sweater. And Monday was a fun class with Toby Lischko of Gateway Quilts and Stuff. I love my block so far!!

This Week:

  1. Quilt on Picnic
  2. Get Headbands done
  3. Figure out Wedding Quilt
  4. More Dresden Plates

The intent is to make the quilt larger than I originally had fabric for, but with more fabric purchased I will be able to accomplish that. I just need to figure out where I am at.

After I got home from Mother’s Day lunch with SG and EG I had these lovelies waiting!

A chocolate covered strawberry was quickly consumed!!
Those kids know the way to my heart!!
