In: Nothing again. Too busy to even try to spend money on quilting!!
Out: Nothing much! Because I am too busy working on quilting the tops and things that have gathered around here!! But I did embroider some labels for the charity quilts I am working on.
I finally finished the Succulent Garden and got it bound!! I love the panto I used for it. All of the fabrics came from our Guild Storeroom and the leftovers will go into another quilt, likely a Disappearing 4 Patch. I will just need to grab some light fabrics to use for the contrast. But before that I have 3 other charity quilts to piece/quilt/finish. Oy!
Once that was done I decided it was time to finally get back to a me project. I started Fox and Geese in 2019 and completed the top in 2020. I started quilting it, but after 4 blocks quilted I put it in time out. Fox and Geese was started when I had my Little Foot frame for Gigi. Now I have a larger frame and can roll the layers on. So I got the top of the quilt loaded and have the rest of it clamped to the belly bar with my old frame’s clamps. It’s working so far. I am using some ruler work and FMQ in the border. Just trying to stretch my quilting repertoire. But I learned a valuable lesson. Write down what you were doing and what rulers you were using when you start a project!!! After 3 years I remembered some important facts incorrectly. LOL So my curved lines around the block edges are going to be VERY mismatched from block to block. Will it matter? You tell me. Can you see the straight lines in this border?
LOL I tried to alter the color and contrast to get them to show up, but no go.
