To-Do Tuesday

To Do Tuesday

Each Tuesday I play along with Texas Quilt Gal for To-Do Tuesday, check it out!

Last Week:

  1. Get Picnic Back On The Frame /
  2. Maybe another garment for Squish X
  3. Diva’s Wedding Quilt X
  4. Home town trip for a friend’s Bday √
  5. Make more headbands for Squish /
  6. Extra: SG’s Table Runner √
  7. Extra: Dresden Plate Pillow /
  8. Extra: Dresden Plate Baby /
  9. Extra: Baby sweater knitting /
  10. Extra: Class with Toby Lischko /

Picnic is on the frame and 2 more rounds were designed, now just 2 more design rounds to go, but a lot of quilting to still be done on the sides. I haven’t finished each round, just worked on 1-2 sides as I figure out the designs I want to use. No garment sewing this week. Nor did I fish out the wedding quilt blocks. We did get back home for our friend’s Bday and took Squish so she could spend time with family, but I didn’t finish her headbands. I did finish SG’s latest table runner and delivered it, with food, for a socially distanced Mother’s Day visit. She and EG have a bug, so we sat outside and ate our Italian dinners. Yummy! I finished a Dresden Plate for a pillow front, and got the center on it and one of the plates for the baby quilt. Then started another plate for the baby quilt. So now there’s 4 plates for the baby quilt, but not sure how many more I am making. I also got some rounds knit on Squish’s 1st Year Bday sweater. And Monday was a fun class with Toby Lischko of Gateway Quilts and Stuff. I love my block so far!!

This Week:

  1. Quilt on Picnic
  2. Get Headbands done
  3. Figure out Wedding Quilt
  4. More Dresden Plates

The intent is to make the quilt larger than I originally had fabric for, but with more fabric purchased I will be able to accomplish that. I just need to figure out where I am at.

After I got home from Mother’s Day lunch with SG and EG I had these lovelies waiting!

A chocolate covered strawberry was quickly consumed!!
Those kids know the way to my heart!!

  1. Hi Chris! It looks like you had a lovely Mother’s Day and week. It’s hard to imagine Squish turning one, isn’t it?!! Gosh the time is going by so quickly. I forgot about the wedding quilt. I love the fabric and layout you chose. It looks like you have quite a few blocks made already. Good luck with this week’s list. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  2. Love how you are quilting the picnic quilt, are you using rullers? You made beautitul dresden plates, and that last block is gourgeus, great visual effect. Have a nice and happy week, Chris.

  3. Pretty flowers, and YUM on the chocolate covered strawberries. That Toby Lischko block is gorgeous. Good luck on your list.
Thanks for linking up with To Do Tuesday!

  4. You have lots of “irons in the fire”! Dresden Plates are so pretty. And the headbands for Squish will go quickly I think. Our baby girl would not leave headbands on her head. Off they came!! She was and still is (at 5) an opinionated little miss! Have a wonderful week!

  5. Your projects are always ALL so pretty it’s hard to pick for commenting! They ALL really are! The quilting is so pretty (can’t wait to start ruler quilting soon!) and that little sweater! Gah! (So many things I want to make, soooo little time!)

  6. Those chocolate covered strawberries look so yummy! Chris your Dresden plates are gorgeous. I love them all! I love that block on the right. Was that from your class? It’s awesome! The ruler work for the diamonds in the picnic quilt look great! I love using rulers when I have time! Have a great week. May you accomplish all your goals!

  7. All of those projects are looking fabulous, Chris, especially those Dresden Plates and stars. Your knitting is just sorcery, as far as I’m concerned — I think I could actually learn to spin straw into gold before I ever would figure out how to turn a ball of yarn into a sweater like you do! Happy belated Mother’s Day to you!
