Got quite a lot done considering I had baby for longer stretches this week. But since they were mostly small things they were quick to get done. Best of all I got the runners done for the girls and since SG and EG were in town this weekend I was able to send one home with her. Plus a bookcase, LOL. Now to get the runner to Diva along with the orange chair and ottoman she is taking. I made a little change in the studio and kitchen so the girls benefit when I make changes. The item I had the most fun with? The runner with the orange/turquoise border. I out lined the images with stitching and mitered the border. he burp cloths were made with donated leftover flannel, so cute!

This Week:

  1. Case for Diva!!
  2. Baby Quilt #5
  3. Quilt a customer baby quilt
  4. Hair cut today
  5. ? Squirrels?

Hopefully today I will be able to drop into the quilt shop my cousin works at and talk about trading in my small quilting frame. I have been trying to do this for months now! I am planning on getting a larger frame, just not sure if I will set it up as a 10 ft or 12 ft frame. 12ft makes for close quarters on my machine wall. A few items will be focused on, and maybe I will look at my UFO pile and see what can be brought to a quick finish.

  1. I love the quilted leaves in that first project–a runner? It’s beautiful. Is it a panto? You’ve reminded me that I should be doing some sewing for grandchild number 3. (And I just realized I haven’t announce what it is! Will have to do that next week!). Have a great week and good luck on your to-do’s! You are always so inspiring over here!

  2. Good luck with your frame search. Finding extra space brings out my creativity – lol! I like the peek at your finishes, especially those leaves.
Thank you for sharing with To Do Tuesday!

    1. Pretty close to putting my order in for a 10ft Studio frame. I just don’t think I will need larger. Now to decide if I trade in my Little Foot, try to sell online, or sell for scrap.

  3. You have been pretty darn productive for a girl with extra grandma duty! Isn’t it fun to be able to send off some “things” so you can have new or different? Hope your week continues to go well!

  4. Hi Chris! I love the quilting on the maple leaf table runner. That’s a lovely design and your stitches look so perfect. You’ve really gotten quite comfortable with your longarm setup! I’m happy about that. Trading up to a bigger size can only open up your quilting experience. I look forward to hearing about what you end up doing. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. A larger frame gives me more options, and I’m ready for that. I’m just waiting for a call back from a dealer in the hometown on pricing. It won’t be long until I am setting up!! > >

  5. Getting lots of small projects completed can be satisfying for sure. Sounds like you are going for a big frame, hope you find what you want and fit it in to your satisfaction.
