Today’s photo is Squish laying in mulch she spent 30 minutes playing with. LOLOLOL!!! And here’s Rowdy snuggled with momma.

We get Squish again tonight, after having her Tuesday night. It’s a big change from having her every weekday to just 1 night a week.
After not making a March rocking chair pillow, I was eager to make an Easter one! My plan for the Easter pillow was a bunny and eggs, and it turned out just like I envisioned. EQ8 was my muse, the paper foundation patterns were perfect.

I toyed with putting eyes and whiskers on the face, but declined for the moment. I can always add them later. For the back I sewed the print to a lining to secure the layers. Then I inserted the zipper and used the front print for a decorative band. The front got matchstick quilting around the border and SITD for the motifs. A little echo quilting around the motifs finished it out.

My decorative band was too narrow to fold over so I sewed a facing on it with batting in between for some oomph. The overall looseness will hopefully shrink out when washed.
If you participated in the 2023 SAHRR, let me say thank you so much for playing along. I fear I lost touch with the link ups there toward the end. Life got very busy for us. I wish we could have given prizes to EVERYONE! but alas we couldn’t. I do want to say congratulations to the winners and thank you to our sponsors!

Hi Chris! Thirty minutes playing in the mulch! It’s a new texture and smell for her, and Rowdy looks so comfy snuggling in with momma. Your April pillow turned out so great. That bunny is COOL. Great job. Here’s to a fabulous Friday and an equally fabulous April. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Chickadee
She’s a scream! Thanks!

When I first saw the pic, I thought Squish took a tumble! Glad she was just exploring her world!
Thanks! She loves to explore everything!
Adorable Easter pillow. Perfect.
Thank you Elizabeth!
I can’t remember exactly how old Squish is, but isn’t it wonderful watching a toddler explore her world. If only the rest of us could remember to see the “wonder”! Love Love Love your bunny rocking chair pillow!!! Thanks for reminding me that even if the fabric isn’t just right, a facing will make it perfect. Making do is the name of the game!
Squish is 16 months and full of discovery! I do a lot of making do! When it’s hidden who cares!
Bunny pillow is super cute!
Thanks Laura!
Squish knows how to have fun! Will you have both children when Mom is done with maternity leave? Love that pillow – you did a fabulous job. Thanks for linking up to TGIFF!
She’s a riot! Mom will be working from home after leave, so I won’t have them but I am sure I will go up to help here and there. Thanks!
That bunny block is great. Well done.
Thanks! It was a fun make.
