If you do crafting of any kind,
please link up your weekly To-Do list!
Last Week:
- Start on Table Scraps topper plans √
- Plan quilting for May WOOFA, Camdyn’s Ripples √
- Continue working on neighbor kids’ quilts X
- Extra: Afghan finish!!?
- Extra: Charity Quilt √
- Extra: Diva’s Wedding Quilt /
Got some fabrics for the table runner, quilted a charity quilt, and got the cornerstone blocks done for Diva’s quilt.
These are the possible quilting plans for Ripples. The upper left is the least considered, the lower left is a close match to the one at right, but the difference is in how the Orange Peel design is oriented over the blocks. You can click on them to see a closer image.
This Week:
- Continue piecing on Diva’s Wedding Quilt.
- Block the afghan!!!
- Quilt Big Sister’s quilt for neighbor
- Maybe quilt another Charity top.
I haven’t decided if I am doing the side triangles in the border or background fabric. Leaning towards the border fabric. Now that I have the white thread for Gigi I am itching to get the baby quilt on the frame. Planning on ruler work on this one. And also eager to try the next Charity quilt. It might be FMQ, which I need to practice more.
Can’t wait to see what you have achieved this week!
I try to comment on all your posts, but sometimes I cannot get your blogs to take my comments. It’s a Google issue mostly, but know that I visit and try to comment.
For those who liked my March runner, I finally found the pattern link.
The quilting prep’s of Ripples look good! Enjoy playing with Gigi ;)) And thanks for the link, your table runner is lovely.
Thank you! I usually overthink the quilting, but always want to explore all kinds of options. > >
you have some nice looking projects – hope you stay sew busy
Thank you! I know I can stay busy, it’s just making myself go up to the studio that’s the problem. LOL! > >
You’ve got plenty to work on, so you’ll never run out of things to do! Looking forward to seeing Diva’s wedding quilt!
Thanks! I got some border fabrics yesterday to play with. Not sure I have hit the nail on the head, but I am close. > >
Chris, do you use EQ for drawing and planning the quilting lines?
Great projects to a happy new week. Good luck with your goals for this week.
Yes I do Ivani. I use the stencil layer and just choose from their options. I don’t have a Word computer so I can’t use the wonderful Quilting Books https://electricquilt.com/online-shop/category/quilting-stencils/ Thanks!

You have so many finishes just around the corner–how exciting! Are you planning a table runner for July 4 decor? I’m seeing all the RW&B fabrics popping up everywhere–Memorial Day, the 4th and even just QOV are all up for inspiration right now!
Yes, I plan a star runner for the summer months. I can use RWB all the time!!! LOL > >
I like those quilting ideas for your kaleidoscope quilt, Chris! It kills me a little to stitch E2E on mine when I know that custom quilting would show off my piecing better, but I’m trying to be practical this time… (hah! As if.). You always have such a nice assortment of different projects in the works!
We all have to chose our battles! Or quilting designs. LOL! Thanks > >
I’m amazed at how you test out the designs for quilting on EQ! The projects look like they will come together for you!
I almost want to buy a PC just to buy the quilting books from EQ which have even more options. But I hate PC products. > >
I love seeing your EQ8 quilting plans. And those friendship star cornerstone blocks are adorable!
Thanks! My Stars are backwards of the pattern, but that’s OK, this layout is the one I am familiar with. > >
Hi there! Wow! You’ve been productive! That baby quilt is so pretty! I like the contrast of the colors and blocks on point. Nice job!
Thanks! It was a good week!
